Haig Point Golf Course
Hilton Head, South Carolina

The Signature Course – Black tees: 6,900 yards; 74.4 rating and 158 slope
This course was once considered among the Top-100 golf courses in the world, and top-100 in the US. This was in late November of 2017, right around Thanksgiving, and it was in awesome shape. The best part of the course was their greens. They were Tif Eagle and were running about 12 on the stimpmeter.
My favorite hole was #8, a 172 yard par 3 overlooking the ocean. I would have to say the hardest hole is #14, a 570 yard very tight par 5. There is no room for error on your approach shot, where the green is completely surrounded marsh and wetlands.
If I had to give one piece of advice if you played this course, I would say to keep the ball underneath the hole. If you don’t have perfect speed on downhill putts, you can easily have a 6-to-10 footer coming back up the hill.
